Can I purchase Rugged Paw Products at brick & mortar shops in the U.S.?

Do you offer wholesale prices for shops or groomers?

Did any of your formulas change with the most recent rebrand?

Everything is the same EXCEPT, the Relief Spray (formerly known as Tonic Spray) now has Texas Cedar Essential Oil (for even stronger protection against fleas, ticks, and mosquitos)

How long is my product good for?

If you locate the sticker on the bottom of your item, the last four numbers indicate the month and year that it should be used by.  For example, if it says:  0180927, this means that the product was made in September of 2025 and should be used by September of 2027 - see the last four digits, 0927 -  HOWEVER, if you are using your products at the consistency in which they're meant for, you will not make it to the best-by month.

How frequently should I use my products?

For existing issues, consistency is key.  My personal recommendation is to apply the balm and/or relief spray to problem areas 2-3 times a day until symptoms subside.  Always spot test first and stop use if irritation occurs. For the shampoo, I wouldn't recommend bathing any more frequently than once every 1-2 months, unless otherwise advised by your groomer or vet.  Of course, if your dog rolls in something disgusting or decides to take a mud bath, there are exceptions!

I don't bathe my dog at home, but want to use your shampoo.  Can I bring it to my groomer?

If your groomer is not already using our shampoo for their services, and you'd like to bring in your own, call them first to make sure that they allow that.  In my experience, we have some customers that bring in our shampoo for their dogs' appointments.

Can I use this on my cats?

Although the essential oil blend takes up less than 1% of each product's formula, cats cannot metabolize certain essential oils in the way that dogs can.  So I would recommend always checking with your vet first; and if there is a way for me to make a special order for your kitty pals, email me & I'll see what I can do.

What if my dog licks off the product?

While the ingredients are all plant derived & formulated with safe percentages for your pups, we of course want the product to dry so that it actually gets absorbed by the skin.  My favorite tip is to apply right before meal time, snack time, or play time (whichever drives your pup the most).  This creates a distraction and allows the product to work its magic.  Regular grooming after everything has sunken in is fine.

Why is my product yellow?

Do you ship internationally?

When will my order ship?

I will always aim to get your package to the post office within 1-3 business days, unless otherwise notified.  If it is a wholesale order or larger order, ship times may vary.  But as always, feel free to email me at ruggedpawus@gmail.com

Do you accept returns?

I cannot accept returns for the relief spray, as I cannot be sure that it was not tampered with.  I will accept returns for unused balm and unused shampoo (must have its seal in place).  However, if you are deeply unsatisfied with your product after use,  I will offer a form of compensation depending on the issue.

My product arrived damaged.  What now?

Send me photos and/or video of your issue, and I will either send you a new item or discount code, depending on the situation.

How many people work for Rugged Paw?

Just me!  I hand make, hand fill, and hand label every piece; and everything else?  Lil ole' me!
